SIEGE “Let Me Go In Peace”

We all need a bit of warmth every now and then, especially on Mondays, I dare say. So, let me introduce you to SIEGE and their first track together as a trio, “Let Me Go In Peace”. This emotional tribute to love and support, and basically to being as humanly as possible, will warm up your heart. Arranged in a singer-songwriter style, all SIEGE songs are created with the intention of moving people in mind. And, boy, do they deliver!

SIEGE is a Scottish band made up of three parts. Craig, the writer. Rich, the bass player. And Mike, the guitarist. They have all been playing music for many years and, finally, they have recently decided to join forces. With their first release, they blend balladic piano with a downtempo drum kit, and occasional electronic elements. All in line with their plan to push the boundaries and create songs which span across multiple genres. Eclecticism is what we like the most on this website, don’t we?

Back to “Let Me Go In Peace” and its warm ballad-style delivery. The other reason hidden behind the musical notes is a message larger than life. As a dad of two little boys, SIEGE is Craig’s way of trying to show his kids that you should never give up on your dreams. Yep, as simple and as poetically beautiful as that. Goosebumps? A slightly blurred vision? Side effects intentional, and if you are experiencing any of them, you have already been SIEGEd. And that’s an incredibly good feeling, innit?
