If you would like to see me running through a forest and losing my breath, I assure you, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. “RUN!”, a song made by Holy Høly and yours truly, under my new alias, DXCV3R, has just had a video premiere on YouTube.
Holy Høly is Ewa Baran – known for projects such as NOCE (bass) or She Fits Me, (synths, bass, vocals, piano). She is associated with the Barcelona label Diffuse Reality Records (Hard Times) and the Italian Cultural Bridge. Currently, she is working on her solo album #262626 and on an ambient album in a duet with Daniel Löwen. She lends her voice to many producers (including NUN, Noise Gate Production, MUFF DADA, Alejandro Fernandez Lecce).
As for “RUN!” itself, suffice to say, this was not the first song we worked on together. More news on this to come soon, as my collaborative project takes shape. In the meantime, the song will appear on a compilation called “Music From Poland” which will be released by Go! boys records, showcasing a number of Artists who make “unconventional, electronic sounds in various versions [which] will create an alternative mix of everything that is best in such music”.
So, here’s the video for “RUN!”. Shot in forests in both southern Poland and Luxembourg, it features both Holy Høly and myself in a “Blair Witch Project” inspired story where, yes, I run, and she – she’s haunting me. Fun fact – we did not know at the time that on that very day the original “Blair Witch Project” movie turned 25. Coincidence? Or the mischievous work of the witch from Blair? 😉
