This Friday is all about jazz. “WayAway” comes from Monika Ryan’s latest album, called “ALIVE”. In her own words, this album is an invitation to “explore the essence of being”. Be it an introspective contemplation, or an expression of profound joy, Monika does it with impeccable style and various jazzy vibes in the background.
“WayAway” belongs to this more joyful part of the album. It is a sweetly upbeat wordplay, with a relaxing arrangement, where the acoustic bass meets the piano keys, and their conversation literally helps you drift away. A perfect apero moment for a Friday evening, wouldn’t you agree?
