Playlists

Mood Board: June 2024

I do apologise for the delay. June has come and gone, but some planned time off around the month-end stood in the way of this, let me tell you honestly, amazing playlist. And the fact that I am opening it with my latest music project is just a side note, really, as I have a real treat for you this time.

This June has been quite trippy, musically speaking. Starting with Carlos Antonio’s “Walk On Water”, a truly beautiful tune, which has had me obsessed for quite a while. It is followed by the title track from Loren Kramar’s latest album, “Glovemaker” – what a song, by the way, so pristine and sad at the same time!

I also re-introduce JORDIOR here, an RnB artist singing in Luxembourgish, which holds a special meaning for me since I am based in Luxembourg myself. And then – a trip hop grenade from Poland! – a recently released collab by Holy Høly and NUN. Their Portishead vibes will have you enchanted and longing for more.

June has also been a month of some, more mainstream, deliciousness, which manifested itself in two songs for me. “Ill Times” by GUM, and the second part of RAYE’s new track, “Genesis”. I am also re-sharing Aubryanna’s “CoverGirl” and closing the whole thing up with a mega flashback. The Doobie Brothers’ immortal tune “Long Train Runnin’”. After all, “without love, where would you be now?”

Enjoy the music!
