Introducing AirEl@V and her debut single “Follow You”. For a debutant, Valeria (yes, AirEl@V is her name written backwards), she has already showcased her musical persona in the castings for “The Voice of France” (2021 & 2023) and as part of the Luxembourg’s national selections for this year’s Eurovision. Not too shabby for a beginner.
“Follow You” is a full on dramatic love story. He is leaving the country, she is in despair. The drama as old as this world, in this case, takes shape of an intensely developing pop ballad. With the message of “love yourself before loving others”, it illustrates the emotional turmoil with a mix of pop-dominated arrangements, building up on to a heart-breaking finale.
I have a feeling that “Follow You” is just first, a bit shy, attempt to put AirEl@V’s name on the map of up-and-coming songwriters. With a voice full of undeniable emotion, it makes you curious what else is in store for her in the coming months. Here’s hoping for more stories that can showcase the talent hidden inside.
