Today’s Sunday Chill moment belongs to B. de Carey and his “Deeper”. This DJ, producer, and radio host insists on taking us on a journey through West-Coast-inspired house vibes. And since he insists, and I’ve never been to California, I am one happy traveller. His 5-track album, entitled “Eclectisme” premiered yesterday and it is a sonic odyssey not to be missed!
“Deeper”, track #4, is a nu-jazz adventure. This amazing trip has had me hooked from the first time I heard it. Its urban vibe, soulful and jazzy at the same time, is a brilliant invitation to chill in a very lounge-y style. The old school beat, slowly emerging brass sounds, and the mid-tempo energy literally help you relax and unwind.
Taken from the “Eclectisme” album, “Deeper” lives up to an expectation of, guess what, eclecticism in every shape and form. It is also an exciting trip down memory lane, if your memory goes back to the 1990s, of course. So, in addition to a fusion of moods and delicious flavours, the whole endeavour offers you a dash of nostalgia as well, in a very positive sense of the word.
