Peyton Parrish “Poetry Glass”

How often do you hear a track that makes you turn up the volume and, as you are doing that, an avalanche of shivers is flooding your bloodstream? Not very often, would be my wild guess. So, the first time I heard “Poetry Glass”, I literally gave myself a bit of a sonic shock, in the most positive meaning of the phrase.

The powerful guitars and the dark yet melodic vibe of this tune oscillate around a 90s-inspired metal sound that stays in your mind with a non-intrusive ease, just intense enough to make you want to hear it again, and then some more. Add to it Peyton Parrish’ Viking-inspired vocals, full of raw emotion and some unique throaty grit, and you will hopefully see why “Poetry Glass” sounds like a much needed post-winter-holidays detox.

Metal music does not feature on this blog often, or perhaps not often enough, so here’s the reason number two as to why this tune is worth all the attention. Do not miss it!

  1. Hello 🙈
I’ve never expected to see metal music on your blog. 😀 This genre is not my cup of tea, yet the song is fine. I’ll send it to my friends who enjoy alt rock.
    Greetings.

    • Please do share! 🙂 Also, I do listen to such music sometimes but hardly ever pick anything that would impress me a lot. This track, though, sends electricity down my spine and in such cases, genre is really not that relevant 🙂
      Thanks for listening! 🙂
