Coolhandtrew “Fall Guy”

Do you ever feel like certain genres belong to certain seasons or holidays? For me, it’s jazz and New Year’s celebrations. The big-band-ish type of jazz, with energetic rhythms and loud festive trumpets, big ballrooms with heavy chandeliers, et cetera, what not.

So, here’s “Fall Guy” by Coolhandtrew. A cleverly crafted track with an RnB beat and those shiny old fashioned trumpets that I cannot get enough of. Close your eyes for a second and you will immediately get teleported to early 2000s, Jill Scott’s debut album, one is the magic number. This guy knows what’s good, that’s for sure.

“Fall Guy” comes from Trew’s most recent solo album, “My New Normal”. A deliciously eclectic feast combining soul, electronic sounds and occasional retro vibes which make the whole experience irresistible, albeit short, very short, almost too short. Or was it part of the plan all along, Trew?
