Today marks the release of my first album as DXCV3R. I am happy and proud to share this work with you. It has been a truly collaborative effort with five wonderful singer-songwriters. In the order of appearance: TabInStereo, nównøis, Holy Høly, Silver Bella and Amélie Swann.
I have titled it “The Amygdala Effect”. A part of the brain, the amygdala (there are actually two of them) is responsible for emotional responses, among other things. This emotional response, the emotional connection which was built as part of these collaborations, meant the world to me. Each collab is special and unique in its own way. Each has built a bond between a producer and a singer. And each resulted in an outcome which was, at first, impossible to predict. This is what I love the most about “The Amygdala Effect” – the power of two minds coming together in a creative way, and building a world you can listen to.
