A new single from KIDSØ premiered on the 6th of March. Titled “Far”, it is a continuation of the duo’s unique craftsmanship in producing atmospheric, organic house vibes. You can definitely call it their signature sound. An experience. A journey through a Nordic-influenced fusion of organic yet niche, danceable yet melancholic, melodic yet experimental at the same time.
“Far” is an invitation to explore. Featuring female vocals which function as a beacon of light in the sentimental ocean of sounds and moods. The track creates a sense of constant dualism. A fluid experience between distance, self-reflection, and the energy created by the beat. It is at the intersection of these seemingly unrelated elements where the introspection begins. After all, it was only supposed to be easy on the surface, wasn’t it?
The dive-in into KIDSØ’s music, and the world created by it, as usual, offers a much welcome release of emotions. Imagine a situation where the tension, stress, anxiety leave your body in an almost palpable way. Like a grey cloud of smoke visible in the dimmed lights of your room. Once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. I would call it out of this world. A sonic cleansing of the soul shaped like a song, but being something completely different. We choose to call it art for this exact reason.
