Yuma Yamaguchi “Concordia – Dorian Concept Remix”

With the list of Yuma Yamaguchi’s credits, one can get a creative headache and a flutter of jealousy. This Japanese composer, known for his work in films, animation and commercials, has composed music for over 300 campaigns. Known for his signature blend of minimalist piano and orchestral textures, he has now launched a new music project called “Concordia”.

“Concordia” features vocals of Yamaguchi’s frequent collaborator, RANU, and a trio of remixes, out of which the Dorian Concept one is the most impressive. In my own humble opinion, of course. Dorian Concept, a Vienna-born producer, brings to this project his electronic fascination with intricate beats and cinematic palette of sonic vibes.

Dorian’s remix of “Concordia” is a fusion of Aphex-Twin-like percussion patterns which take over the track and somehow make it his own. Loaded with electronic emotion, the track gains its second life as a slightly psychedelic, experimental tune where the drumbeats lead the way deep into the listener’s mind. It is a pure pleasure to listen to this creation which fuses the best of the original version with the unexpected twist in the form of seemingly chaotic percussion frenzy.

Add to it the amazing visuals, which I am sharing below and, believe me, you will not only be hooked. You will be addicted.
