There is a ton of beauty in Isabella Lundgren’s tamed approach to a love song. Pun intended, due to the title, but at the same time, its silent arrangement and an almost ambient-like vibe feel very fitting.
Isabella Lundgren, one of Swedish most prominent jazz vocalists, released “Love Is Not A Beast To Tame” as a preview of her upcoming album, “What Cannot be Told”. With its minimalistic approach to sound, while listening, you feel almost as if you were wrapped in a warm cocoon of safe emotions. Calming, soothing, relaxing, the song opens up a space for introspective thoughts about how we all approach love.
“I thought I wrote this song about a man I once loved”, says Isabella. “It turned out, it was actually about my own difficulties of loving, and letting myself, be loved.”
Unsurprisingly, the entire album’s premiere date has been set to 14th February. With songs like “Love Is Not A Beast To Tame”, it might as well become a perfect soundtrack for celebrating one’s affection. And the music, full of peacefulness, can create an ideal setting for all those words we should all be sharing more often than just once a year.
