If you had thought that my October was musically gloomy, then you will be happy to hear that my November playlist brings even more of that vibe. I have some amazing treats for you this time which I am excited to share as, in my world, there is nothing better than sharing music.
Starting with my collaboration with Holy Høly and our track called “RUN!”. It is accompanied by a video which you can find on YouTube (click), inspired by “The Blair Witch Project” movie, and included on an industrial-themed compilation, “Music From Poland” released by Go Boys Records.
“Run!” is followed by “Bitch” – a cover of a 1990’s smash hit by Meredith Brooks. The cover version features in a Swedish limited series, “Tore”, available on Netflix. In one of the episodes, this chilling version of a pop rock banger is performed by a drag queen, giving it a completely different vibe.
This playlist also welcomes back some of my favourite female vocalists: Låpsley (“Church”), Celeste (“This Is Who I Am”) and Nerina Pallot (“Call Your Momma”). And there’s more! November has also been the month of a comeback of Imogen Heap with a truly haunting “What Have You Done To Me?”.
If this wasn’t enough, this selection is topped up by 070 Shake’s “What’s Wrong With Me” whom you might know from RAYE’s last album and their huge collaboration called “Escapism”.
Finishing on a more positive and romantic note, I am closing the playlist with Jess Glynne’s “Take Me Home”. I went to her concert a couple of weeks ago and this particular song, performed live, gave me huge goosebumps and created an amazing experience for the entire audience.
Enjoy the music as always, and please share your favourites in the comments below.
