Greetings and welcome to the September Mood Board! With a bit of a delay, caused by a trip to the land of ice and fire, here is a short selection of tunes I have been listening to over the last month.
Starting and ending with some of my own music – the latest singles by ThunderFuzz and The $cience, we move forward through moods, which somehow, this time, are a bit on the rough side. A super emotional track by Casey Frazier, “Easy”, sets the tone, focusing on an electric rock sound, which is then followed by the monumental “Desperado” by HOLYMAMI. Full on energy booster!
I am also taking you on a trip though more mellow sounds, with Brandi & the Alexanders’ jazzy soul and Jules Ahoi’s “Ålesund” – a beautiful fusion of acoustic and electronic vibes. And if you don’t need any introductions to the music of the Dutch singer, Kovacs, you’ll be happy to hear her latest song, “Mycose”, followed by the latest delivery from Amélie Swann. Her “Problems” is an ambient-ish trip through tormented emotions, pulsating with synths, beautiful vocals, and shivers-inducing lyrics: “I get used to my problems, and I get high on my lies”.
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a new single by Jono McCleery, “To See You Again”!
As always, enjoy the music and share your impressions with me below.
