Premiering today is “Finding Myself” by Davide Carbone. Davide is an Australian music producer who has a ton of impressive credits in his portfolio, and his latest tune, featuring Kate Watts on vocals, takes us into the world of deep liquid drum and bass.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I will repeat one more time how happy it makes me feel to see DnB making its well-deserved comeback into the mainstream. The dynamic beats and the passionate vocals of “Finding Myself”, both melodic and crazy energetic, are a perfect combination for expressing one’s emotional turmoil. DnB has always been about such feelings for me, personally. I guess it’s all about the tempo which reflects the speed of your thoughts at certain moments in life, full of doubt but also full of pressure to move on, to move forward, to make a life-changing decision. In a sense, for me, it is the opposite of trip hop, my other favourite genre.
