New music alert! Neon Sines’ second single from their sophomore album is out today, and I am happy to share it with you. With its minimalistic beats and the rich sounds of synthesisers, “Xscape” leaves a lasting impression. As far as electronic music goes, this track is pure honey. I am fascinated by the ethereal, yet desperate sounding vocals of Ariana Celaeno and how they contrast with the instrumental, making the whole thing sound emotionally dramatic, and borderline hysterical. In other words, amazing!
The upcoming album, entitled “The Neon Tape”, was put together from collaborations created with the use of the SoundBetter platform. The sign of our times at its best. It makes the album’s concept quite literal by turning the whole project into a mixtape-like experience.
Evan Murphy and Kenny Cash, the masterminds behind Neon Sines, and the long list of their collaborators (does Snarky Puppy ring a bell?) seem to have created a very cool approach to songwriting where fun and improvisation play an equally important role as the actual creativity. Having heard both songs promoting their album, I feel like I am ready for more delicious surprises. Can I wait any longer? Hell no!
