Close to Monday “Stranger”

Time for some electronica this Sunday. Close to Monday and their “Stranger” are a mix of influences, resulting in a dark, enigmatic vibe exploring dimensions of love which can pull us in more than one conflicting direction at the same time. Citing Joy Division as their favourite, they take us on a trip of sounds and shadows, bringing up a story which focuses on the magnetism of a dysfunctional relationship.

Musically somewhere between electro pop and dark electronica, CTM’s sonic choices go towards a more dynamic vibe, making the journey quite mysterious. As if in a long corridor leading to a dark club with hypnotic lights over a packed dance floor. Or at least these are the images I see myself when listening to “Stranger” in a bit of an addictive binge.
