You may remember Kaleida from a song “Stranger” featured on this blog a couple of months ago. Their album entitled “In Arms” has been released recently, a beautiful collection of electronica tunes inspired by Joan of Arc. Full of mystical vibes, it delivers solid productions and emotional moments that will stay with you for a good while.
“Choices” is the song which stood out for me. With its minimalistic beginning and slowly developing story-telling, it grabs you by the throat and leaves you breathless for a moment long enough to realise the emotion shimmering between the lines. I have a tendency to listen to songs like this on repeat, so take my word for it.
“In Arms”, the album, is hiding more gems and I feel that 2024 might be a beautiful year for Kaleida. There is more here than meets the eye, or the ear in this case, and I’m helpless when it comes to music like this. What can I say, I love having goosebumps!
