While being both mysterious and emotional, Kaleida’s music has the rare quality of getting straight into your head and staying there for a (good) while.
Composed of Christina Wood and Cicely Goulder, the duo has already had a streak of important successes in their seven-year-long career. From being featured on the “John Wick” soundtrack to touring with Róisín Murphy, their electronic yet atmospheric vibe must have circled the globe a few times by now. And rightly so, as their sound feels truly impressive, oscillating somewhere between a digital version of Florence + The Machine and the already-mentioned Miss Murphy.
Kaleida’s latest delivery, “Stranger”, is an irresistible take on light electronica married with dark, yet almost spiritual lyrics. Full of tempting reverbs, it takes you on a deeply emotional trip down your own self, creating a comfortable, introspective experience, perfect for a quiet reflection on an evening filled with candle lights and some much needed, relaxing solitude.
