I am happy and proud to introduce you to a collaboration between TabInStereo and BURN. Called “Familiar”, it combines vocals by Tab and BURN’s singer-songwriter, Holy Høly. This slow paced tune invites you to take an immersive journey, which feels both intimate and unsettling. Starting with the subtle sounds of the guitar, it develops into a lo-fi-inspired soundscape where the arrangement forms a protective layer, shielding you from the outside world.
In “Familiar”, the atmosphere is key, taking precedence over any specific song structure. From softness to an emotional turmoil. From a hopeful dialogue, to an almost desperate monologue. This cinematic soundtrack creates a space for those late-night moments where being alone is absolutely necessary. Be it for reasons of deep focus, or separation from everyday life, or simply trying to find a moment of peace.
