“Tangled”, one of the highlights from A-C Leonte’s latest album, “NOW to NOW” revolves around three main keywords. Presence, introspection, and connection. Written into the very fabric of the sonic textures which create the album, these three concepts are reflected in every track as threads leading to a complete understanding.
“NOW to NOW” has been inspired by an unusual but impressive combination of spiritual traditions enriched by neuro-scientific research on consciousness. “Tangled”, the song, shines here as the prime example. Immersed in the sound blending contemporary jazz with elements of electronica. The vocals are followed by the sounds of a flute. The acoustic beat becomes almost drum-and-bassy. Emotions explode.
A-C Leonte is a Romanian singer-songwriter whose musical mission is to explore the space where sounds become consciousness. “NOW to NOW is an invitation to anchor ourselves in the present, a journey toward the Self, in which ‘NOW’ allows space for all possibilities, beyond attachments, beyond the limitations of the past”, says the singer.
The album is bringing together a whooping total of 10 musicians both from Romania and abroad. Their collaboration, somehow, in my humble opinion, is a perfect reflection of the album’s mission and purpose. A fusion of individual minds and their talents into a group, unique sense of consciousness.
