Man In Motion “Four Leaf Clovers” (Smoky Mix)

Hailing from the Mexican alternative electronic scene, here is Man In Motion. The duo, made up of Sarmen Almond and Omar Lied, have recently premiered a new single from their upcoming EP, “Memory Plant”. Called “Four Leaf Clovers”, its “smoky mix” is a pure trip hop temptation. Reminiscent of the early recordings by Massive Attack (the bass line from “Safe From Harm” comes to mind), the duo combines electronic beats with world music accents, making their sound feel magical and oneiric.

As we live in the era of genre bending, “Four Leaf Clovers” is naturally a blend of trippy sonic herbs. The kind of herbs that bring you the nightly mood in the middle of a bright day. Creating a space for peaceful meditation and cinematic fascination, the sounds brought to life by Man In Motion invite us to explore the mystique within ourselves. Daydreaming being the most relatable keyword here.

With their new single, Man in Motion explore the themes of “openness, embracing unexpected turns, and trusting the rhythm of change”. I love music which, with a bit of imagination, is capable of transforming reality into a fantasy. Music that generates sonic visions directly in the listener’s mind. It is a gift and a privilege to be able to influence an audience with such power. So, if you would like to experience more of it, write down the title of the EP straight away. It is called “Memory Plant”, and just like my comparison of the band’s music to various herbs, it might bring you unexpectedly pleasant moments.
