The music I listened to during this year’s summer was not summery at all. The vibes were darker, more tense, but also soulful and introspective. An intimate summer of sorts, full of existential thoughts. Not that it comes as a surprise, but I thought I’d warn ya.
There are plenty of cool songs in this playlist, though, and I am happy to share them all. Starting with a track from the new Jack Garratt album and all the way to the end, to Noce and their “Nieżal”, one of the two songs performed in a language other than English.
When I think of this almost-gone summer, philosophical thoughts come to my mind. The ones that are perhaps more private than others but – on the other hand – I am happy that the songs selected for this Mood Board provided a backdrop to all this thinking.
So, enjoy the new tracks by Leela James, Joel Culpepper and Niia, among many others. This collection is an almost one hour of music that might make you feel doubtful about where you are in your life. But is this good or bad, who can tell?
So, without further ado, press PLAY, and let my playlist take you over for a brief, fleeting moment.
