Raise your hand if you still remember Love Parade. Held in Berlin throughout the 1990s, this iconic event was a gigantic celebration of music, equality and freedom. Now, part of techno history, it has become a source of inspiration for DJ Remo’s latest single, called “Lost”.
There is a certain dose of nostalgia in “Lost”, a sense of an unforgettable experience that will never come back again. “For me, Love Parade was more than a festival”, says DJ Remo, “It was a movement, a way of life.”
A melancholic techno anthem then? Why not! Disguised as a powerful EDM tune, this short song pays tribute to a youthful experience, first loves, first disappointments, the whole package. It is a journey now, as much as it was “a way of life” back then.
After all, “We all have had situations where we felt lost”.
