Hailing from South Florida, here is Strange New World and the opening track of their recent EP, “Escape”. The title track, as well as the rest of the songs on this release, are a combination of various indie rock influences from 1970s psychedelia, to the elements of 1990s sounds which, personally, remind me a bit of early Sheryl Crow recordings.
“Escape”, the song as a whole, sounds quite atmospheric, slightly dreamy and psychedelic, but also soothing at the same time. Like, literally, a perfect escape from everything. Starting in an almost ambienty way, it creates a feeling of pure bliss, of floating above your own body and releasing any unwanted energy.
This pretty introspective vibe invites the listener to let it all go. And to respectfully enjoy the influences of similar sounds that came before, blending the various elements in a classy manner, without any unnecessary complications. In that sense, it is a very simple approach that delivers great results, making you impatiently want to dive in to the sonic strange new world which came out of it.

That was awesome, wish it was longer. Saved the EP for later.
Cheers. 😊
