There’s nothing better than a bit of jazz with your Saturday morning coffee. The world feels immediately warmer, even with the gloomy autumn weather outside the window right now. And with “Above The Clouds”, the title track coming from Ilario Ferrari Trio’s latest album, the timing couldn’t be better.
To quote Ilario’s words, this title track is a reflection on the album’s core theme, which is rising above life’s ‘clouds’, symbolising all sorts of darker moments in our minds – overthinking, a sense of disconnection, or deep loss. It is in our human nature to raise our heads above such clouds and find a fresh perspective in the space above them.
This truly heart-warming outlook on our emotional problems is something I deeply appreciate. In the world flooded with negativity and hate, one uplifting tune can make a true difference, if you only give it a chance. And even though it is normally more difficult than that to achieve inner peace, the symbolism of raising above the clouds might be the very image you need right now to gain a new perspective.
“Above The Clouds”, the album, is now available for streaming via the East London jazz label, Elsden Music.

Love the hopeful ideas and tinkling piano sounds.
I don’t listen to jazz on daily basis, but it’s always nice to listen something as calm as this one, especially in Autumn 😊🍂
Cheers
