If you are in a mood for a bit of synthwave to start your weekend with, you’re definitely in the right place. Attaboy and their “Lost In Time” will provide you with a perfect backdrop for a bit of nostalgia.
An alt-pop band, Attaboy, blend various influences balancing somewhere between almost-mainstream and the video game niche, where being sentimental about the retro vibe of the 1980s is a high compliment.
“We wrote ‘Lost In Time’ to remind ourselves to stay present and soak in all of the moments life has to offer”, says Jeff Edgel from Attaboy. And this exact message, positive yet submerged in nostalgic references, caught my attention and made me feel smitten with those classic synthesiser sounds. Again!
All these synth-wavey sounds come back from time to time and make you feel like going back in time would not be such a bad thing. Or would it? I will let you decide for yourselves. Suffice to say, “Lost In Time” offers more than just a simple flashback. It is a reminder, a daydream, a point of reference to the moments which, most likely, will never come back. And if this does not make you feel pleasantly nostalgic, then I don’t know what will!
