Eric Wink “Inconsolable”

Here’s a classy tune to start your chic weekend with. This beautiful bossa literally ticks all the boxes of a warm, radio-friendly tune. It is a pleasure to listen to, on repeat, I might add, and the lyrical twist, juxtaposed with upbeat music, might give you a shiver or two. 

The song tells a story of a young woman feeling misheard by a partner that she stays with even though she feels manipulated. Sounds like something one could hear in an episode of ‘Sex and the City’, somewhere between Carrie Bradshaw’s cosmopolitan top ups. This New York-ish vibe continues throughout the rest of the song, creating an amazingly uncomfortable sense of disconnect between the music and the vocal choruses. 

Am I supposed to dance to it? I don’t know, but I might just give it a go anyway!
